As someone that had the courage at 5yrs old to speak the truth about What happened to me, I feel your anguish. To go through the brutal questioning on the stand &be subjected to the medical exams that made you feel like you were being violated all over again. I see you. I hear you. My heart breaks for what you experienced.
My biological father was released too after raping me & others.
I know the anger that is rising up in you. The betrayal you feel. The injustice you are experiencing. The sickness in your stomach that never seems to subside. I know the feeling of going to sleep & hoping you don't wake up.
Worst of all I know the lies the enemy will bombard you with over the next weeks as you watch him walk free. To Walk out with a smile on his face & have his people declare he is a good man that honors woman. I know first hand how deep that cuts.
For those victims out there reading this, that have experienced your own injustice. For those who’s abuser walks free while you carry the sentence of shame, depression & anxiety.There is freedom for you.
It may appear that they are free, but let me assure you, they are NOT!

As a victim the worst thing we can do is allow them to continue to rob us of one more day. They have already stolen so much. Don't give them your future. Take your power back by trusting God that HE WILL HANDLE IT! In the meantime forgiving the unforgivable sets you free. You then rise above the evil, instead of staying mired in it.
