Bethannah and Pennelope

As abuse survivors, we often feel covered in labels such as filthy, used, rejected, not enough, unloved, and on and on. If these words were written on Post-it notes, we would be covered from head to toe, unrecognizable.

Walking around with these labels for so long, we don’t even know what we look like underneath them all.

These are all lies from Satan himself. Learning to be free of these lies is an essential part of healing for us. Jesus wants us to be free! John 8:36 tells us, ”So, if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

A huge part of the healing process for me was learning to declare God’s Word over myself, biblical affirmations. It’s what my business is all about!

Here are a few verses to help you get started. Whisper them, sing them, shout them! Look in the mirror and say them to yourself.

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Try personalizing them like this:

Bethannah, you are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God has prepared for you.

2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

Romans 8:1, There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

I encourage you to make this a daily practice.

Love, Bethannah
